The Client

Leader in Heavy Construction and General Contracting industry.

The Need

The client required the existing drafts and designs of a large US city new Metro Station substructure and superstructure to be computerized. Client was looking for 3D Architectural models, Structural models, MEP models, Facade models, Elevators and machine room works models of the entire structures/discipline to be converted from Autodesk Revit models to Bentley AECOsim Building designer models and a complete set of pdfs and schedules through Cobie Standard Spread sheet, giving information of the parts and elements used in the construction of the project.

The Challenge

The client needed the existing Autodesk Revit 3D models of the project to be converted and redesigned to Bentley AECOsim building designer 3D models, giving real time information indicating the changes to be incorporated in to the project for better utilization of the space with higher efficiency.

The Solution

The solution was provided using software’s like Bentley AECOsim MicroStation building designer and Autodesk products like Revit, AutoCAD, Naviswork. Various 3D models per the requirements of the client were created and all the 3D models were merged together into a final model using ProjectWise Explorer which resulted in a seamless integration of all the faculties of the structure. The solution provided the client with a uniform platform for the 3D models, leading to efficient management of the entire structure and mapping of various faculties of the structure, thereby increasing the performance capabilities of the structure.
