The Client
A leading MSP who needed help in providing services to a leading global medical device manufacturer with teams across the globe who was a Microsoft shop and had been using Skype for Business for communications.
The Need
The client was looking at setting up a 24×7 support team for their internal users who were using Skype for Business and integrated with PSTN calling services for their support agents. The client often faced issues with PSTN services and required 24×7 support for ensuring smooth operations. Further, the client needed help migrating from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams in a phased manner.
The Challenge
The client had several PSTN service providers integrated for their on-premises Skype for Business setup and had 3 domain controllers. Further, a few users were already on Microsoft Teams and PSTN integration via Direct Routing was underway. The client had remote teams that needed help migrating from Skype for Business to MS Teams with extensive planning and support to ensure a smooth Transition.
Solution
Star Knowledge proposed to set up L2/ L3 support teams with expertise in managing MS Teams and Skype for business integrations and services. The support team provided round-the-clock 24×7 support services for global teams remotely while monitoring existing infrastructure setup.
We participated closely with the end customer’s IT Support teams to review, plan, and rollout the strategy and execution plan for the adoption of Microsoft Teams which also included the setup of Microsoft Teams and integration with Direct Routing Plans with a third-party carrier and SBC.
The entire Skype of Business to Microsoft Teams migration was targeted to address 24000 users across the globe and was achieved over a period of 12 months.
