Business Engagement Models

Star Knowledge’s customer project governance and software deliverable success is enabled with dedicated professional project management and quality assurance resources.

Fixed Price Project

This Model is Ideal for customer projects that have well-defined business and technical requirements, lack of appropriate customer technical knowledge and resources, and need for rapid development.
This Model provides completion of a custom software development project within a Statement of Work (SOW) including fixed scope, approach, and schedule at a fixed price. Project lifecycle changes are permissible with jointly approved Change Orders. Project deliverables are formally accepted by customer within a User Acceptance Test (UAT), with personalized test scripts.

Time & Material (T&M)

This Model Is favorable for customer projects in the initial stage of software design and development where specifications have not yet been clearly defined and baselined. It is also used by organizations with multifaceted projects prone to continual specification and design changes during the project.
In this Model, customers pay for the actual resources employed in achieving their software development requirements. Project fees are calculated as an hourly rate based on the technical environment and approach, type, level and the number of technical resources required. All work is documented within consultant time sheets that require joint approval with a customer as a prerequisite to invoicing. All out-of-pocket expenses for software licenses and other direct project expenditures are reimbursable expenses.
