The client is a reputed oilfield service company in the USA engaged in the exploration and extraction of oil across the country. With expertise in drilling and building oil wells, the company extracts thousands of barrels of natural oil every year and meets the international energy demands.

The Need

The company drills several wells across the country and is naturally engaged in intensive well testing processes to acquire data on the hydrocarbon properties, well behavior, reservoir temperature and pressure, etc. With several well engineers involved in well drilling and well testing, the company lacked a digital platform to acquire accurate real-time data for different production rates tests conducted.

The client approached Star Knowledge to quickly build an application for its well engineers to calculate accurate well tests data, generate real-time reports and store them for future references. The Challenge

The application was further expected to produce faster real-time results as the rates fluctuate for every test conducted.
