Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 Migration

Client Goal 
The client aimed to transition from Google Workspace, including Google Drive and integrated SaaS applications accessed via SSO, to a fully managed Microsoft 365 environment. The goal was to consolidate collaboration, data storage, and application access under a single platform while ensuring business continuity. 

Challenges Faced 

• Migrating large volumes of Google Drive data, including .gdoc files, without data loss or corruption. 

• Ensuring seamless integration of third-party SaaS applications via Single Sign-On (SSO).

The migration plan included pre-migration remediation of incompatible file formats, such as .gdoc files, to prevent data loss. All Google Drive content, including shared drives, was carefully migrated to Microsoft 365 OneDrive and SharePoint. SSO integrations for third-party applications were configured in the new environment to ensure seamless user access.
