GoDaddy to Microsoft 365 Tenant Migration

Client Goal 
The client required an urgent migration from a GoDaddy-managed Microsoft 365 environment to a standard Microsoft 365 tenant. With only two weeks before the resumption of critical operations, the objective was to complete the migration without disrupting daily workflows, including automated Power Automate processes. 

Challenges Faced 

• Extremely tight timeline of just two weeks before operational resumption. 

• Critical automated workflows in Power Automate needed preservation and seamless restoration. 

• Migration of multiple workloads including mailboxes, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint had to occur simultaneously. 

• Ensuring minimal disruption to end users during DNS cutover and tenant transition. 
  
  

Our Approach / Contribution 

Star Knowledge implemented a high-priority migration strategy to address the time-sensitive requirements. Power Automate flows were exported and preserved before the DNS cutover, safeguarding all critical automation logic. After tenant migration, flows were restored and reconnected to the new environment. Concurrently, mailboxes, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint content were migrated in a structured, phased approach. Close coordination and meticulous planning ensured a seamless transition, meeting the two-week deadline without impacting business operations.
