Client Goal 
The client needed a comprehensive solution to manage asset inventory and track equipment efficiently across multiple customer accounts. Their objective was to digitize the workflow of ordering, processing, shipping, and maintaining assets while ensuring proper reporting and visibility. 

Challenges Faced 

  • Manual tracking of hardware orders and inventory led to errors and inefficiencies. 
  • Managing returns, decommissioning, and re-servicing of equipment was time-consuming. 
  • Document generation for invoices, shipping notes, and receipts was repetitive and prone to errors. 

Our Approach / Contribution 

Star Knowledge designed and implemented a Power Apps and Power Automate-based solution to digitize and automate the entire asset management workflow. The solution was developed with multiple business templates to generate necessary documents and included automation for asset lifecycle management. Detailed reports were created to give full visibility into orders, inventory, and status tracking.

  • Power Apps-based asset management interface for tracking equipment lifecycle. 
  • Automated workflows using Power Automate for order processing, shipping, returns, and invoicing. 
  • Templates for generating invoices, shipping notes, and custom receipt notes. 
  • Centralized inventory management in Dataverse with Power BI reporting. 
  • Real-time status updates and dashboards for tracking assets and workflows.
