The need
A native mobile BI app spanning iPhone, iPad, Android, and tablet devices
The client wanted to build a Mobile Business Intelligence (BI) application for different mobile platforms — iPhone, iPad, Android, and tablet devices — with a dashboard that presents both historical and real-time information to users on their smart devices.
The challenge
Delivering KPI dashboards, charts, and grid views, natively per mobile OS
The application needed a splash screen, an admin page, and a KPI page able to present the same information as a Bar, Line, or Pie chart, or as a Grid view. Rather than a single cross-platform build, the app needed to be custom-coded specific to each underlying mobile operating system.
The solution
A custom-coded, native mobile BI app validated on simulator and device
The Star Knowledge team of mobile app developers, with deep expertise in Objective-C and Java, conducted due diligence on the Appcelerator Titanium framework and SQLite database selected for the build, then designed and built a custom-coded mobile BI application specific to each underlying mobile operating system. The team tested the application on both the simulator and on-device.
